We are very proud of our football teams here at Escrick. We have recently been awarded the FA charter standard award. This reflects the opportunities, equipment and coaching that the children are given.

So far this year the children have taken part in the boy's SPDSAA cup as well as the SPDSAA league. The Y5/6 team won the league and then went on to play in the champions league final at Riccall Primary School. The boys won both their games (2-0 and 2-0) and brought the district shield back to Escrick for the first time in the school's history! The girls have also taken part in the SPDSAA 5-a-side cup where they narrowly missed out on the final - however did have the honour of beating the eventual tournament winers!
Other news...
The HSA are working very hard at the momement in attempting to turf the football pitch. If successful this should be ready for the start of September 2008. It is hoped that we will open it with a dads/mums V boys/girls football match. You've had plenty of warning so start preparing for a tough match, the children very rarely take prisoners!!!!!
Here are a selection of photographs taken at recent matches...
